People like the idea of good but love being evil

Any sort of media that portrays a figure that is vile garners the attention of millions, as people do see themselves in that evil figure. If the laws did not exist, every one of us would act like a demon in the ninth circle of hell. It has always been our inner desire to inflict violence into others, in some manner. But we don't carry it out in the world, as we think about the consequences and other moral lines.

But when people watch a figure in a movie or a painting, doing all the things, causing destruction, leaving a long blood trail behind, we see ourselves, for a brief moment, we envision ourselves in their shoes causing all the mayhem and not getting any punishment. As we see only the things that interest us, even if the figure of evil dies at the end of the movie.

We go back, and watch the movie again and watch where the evil figure had a strong presence. The idea of evil is not new, it is old as time itself. Everytime a new content comes out, people crave negativity and evil from it. More eyes get glued to the screen, if the audience can smell a whiff of violence. So they are always on the lookout for the next violent movie.

Even if the movie does have the evil killed, we are focused on the evil on the screen. The idea of being good bores us, as no fun to be had there. The ideals of a perfect human life gives no meaning, but the idea of causing senseless violence on others can get our attention in a second.

Amazing how we are to the world, and what we tell others. We tell others to accept the belief of being good but we do admire evil.

As evil becomes fair to the people who are not on the other side of the knife.
