Just Dance

To the world, you are just a worker. An empty soul that fate kicked when you opened your eyes in the rotten world. The promises of desire took your mind from yourself; it ate your brain and turned into a shallow version of yourself.

Your childhood is now ripped apart by the same people who raised you. The innocence is gone to the lust that controls you; look yourself in the mirror, a broken man. It even wonders, god, how can you have the strength to stand with your legs?

Addictions are the ventriloquist of your life; it moves you where you need to be, and you no longer want something. A nightmare-free dream is all you seek in life, and you have everything a man desires when he jumps off the bird's nest.

Look at you, you have the money, woman, clothes, vehicles, and even the stars in the sky get jealous when they see the lights of your house. Yet, it feels empty, like everything used to shine better than they are now.

Maybe they are reflecting your inner self? You used to shine, remember? But you saw what people are capable of doing. You changed yourself for the better, for yourself and the world. You promised yourself that you would never allow yourself too caught in the same position.

All of it took a toll, an enormous toll that you can't fix it. You call your friends and family, and they do pick up the phone, but you wish they didn't. Just like you, they share the same world, breathe the same air, and see the same thing, but they dance to the blues.

You can't handle the blues; they are depressing, and the notes don't excite you to let yourself out on the dance floor. Remove your clothing, look yourself in the mirror, gather all the nightmares, and dance to them.

You don't need alcohol; heck, you never needed it. It was an excuse to be yourself; now you are on your own, and you can be the person you wanted to be, be the person you needed to be.
