Lost Innocence

Pages of history will only blow the horns of a few and will leave nothing but silence to the billions. The horrible acts that happen every single day don't even create any turbulence in our lives anymore. Even the loudest cry becomes rustling of the trees people.

The more you think about them, the more you feel helpless in the cruel world. Trust becomes a quicksand that sucks you into the other side of the world. How can people take any step if they see their fellow supporters consumed by the relentless fog?

Innocence becomes an empty paper bag that gets lost in the wind. The cry of the victim hardly ever reaches the ears of people. Those who lost everything look at the adults for justice, and the adults look at another adult to deliver a false promise.

The assailants get out of the cage and breathe the same air as the victim. The more you think about it, the happier the world becomes. It is better to give up on everything and look at your own physical existence in this harrowing scene of the world.

I've been to places with nothing but neon lights sparkling on all corners of the street. A trap to attract the naive into believing life is brighter than the sadness of billions. The folks wear a pretty colored dresses that will outshine a rainbow.

Everything is carefully crafted to patch out any hole that shows the other side. A fancy wall, glass, and wood block all the things that are sick in the world. It prevents reality from sneaking into the mind of the people in the glass wall.

The cry and suffering of people never even make a dent in the wall, even though it is made of glass. The microphone on every crossroad tells the tale of equality in the world. A small glance at the crowd will tell many things they did.

Dead women walk around the city with no hope in their eyes, always wondering what happened in their lives. Now I know the truth, a bitter cold string of facts that don't go well when you swallow it. Hardly any person even hears the truth, let alone taste it.

I saw some unusual things in people, and they became common occurrences over time. Saw a child sitting next to her mother, looking at the lights inside the building. People are passing, trying their best not to look in her eye.

Others do with all the disgust of the world, and if the law were in their hands, they would have strangled the child with her mother. It is heartbreaking to witness hate from people slowly removing the smile from the children. It doesn't happen fast, but slowly the optimism for life disappears.

Until everything becomes grey with uncertainty around every corner. Never seen a woman leaving no footprint after taking a step. They don't feel like they exist as they slowly go from one place to another. one glance at their flesh, and you see their body rotten all over the place.

The healing hands that once promised the child with hope and beauty of the world no longer were on their back. The children were left alone to feel the cold breeze from reality.
