Cruelty of Reality

Have you heard of me? Of course, you have.

Have you ever seen me? Yes, You have!

Have you ever felt me? In your spine, you did.

Do you acknowledge; I exist? Yes.

Why? Because you would die without it.

The ever lasting Summer

The emotions that run like a river in our mind are linked to the seasons of the world. All our life, we barricade our minds from other people; as we try our best not to leave a trace of a vulnerability left behind. But fate often pushes us to the point where we would die without it. Without showing our vulnerabilities, we will easily close our eyes and let the numbness slowly eat every corner of our body until everything engulfs us in eternal darkness.

Out of all the seasons, summer and winter do leave me fascinated. Summer makes the blood hot, as the body feels more energy as a hungry wolf preying on its only prey. Just like our lives when we were young, our blood is just like the summer; everything feels possible. As life seems to hold no bounds, every piece of the land feels conquerable. Every face we come across might offer us a different answer to a question.

A sense of possibility surrounded us when we were young. But fate is not cruel; sometimes, it hides the sun behind rain or cold just to give people an idea of what awaits in the future. Just like many, we ignore them, as our eyes only see the clear sky and the birds cooing at a distance. Every single morning, the world prepares itself for you. The feeling of specialness resides in the summer, being hopeful, being optimistic, and being yourself.

Time goes on…

It goes on…

Then it stays…

Winter Arrives.

The coming of Winter

Clouds are stronger and thicker than ever before. We tend not to look at them.

The rays of sunshine turn into small icicles that pierce our skin if touched. We hide our flesh.

The colors of the world get lost in the midst as snow takes over everything. We pay more attention to the bark of the tree than to the beauty.

The person we felt in the summer no longer exists in the winter. As the cold silences everything, everything… We know that it can freeze the water, but it can freeze all the emotions we feel when the blood runs in our bodies. The winter forces us to detach our past selves from us, so we will turn into a dejected form of flesh that used to feel Love and the warmth of emotion.

Nobody told us; only a few warned us about the world that we never thought existed in this world. Now we can see it, winter is here, which brings the true side of the world. It’s like the world lifts up the cover from the world and makes us see the hideous truth of things. Where every human being witnesses the disgusting fact about our society. Our eyes finally witness the horror of the world as we see people abandoning others outside their houses to go back into the room of warmth and artificial comfort.

We see people living on the street in tremendous amounts of pain, but we see no one reaching out to help them. We see a child’s hand covered in dirt as they try to grab leftover food from the dumpster, while at the same time, you will see another child inside the comfort of a vehicle enjoying the fruits of life. Who should we blame? The politicians, the parents, or the cruel fate that bestowed this horrific life to the child that doesn’t deserve it.

Our emotions get angry, but the cold of the season just diminishes the anger and makes us more submissive to the unfair side of the world. Every human being turns into this unmovable flesh, with veins coming out of their skin, latching onto all the sins of life. Now it just sits there as the numbness slowly freezes the vein in our body until we feel absolutely nothing about others.

Broken Answers

I have been ignorant about the coldness of the world and how cold the world can be at times; now, not only has the world made me see it, but it has also made me touch it and spend some time with it. And by god, I can tell cold is nothing that I have experienced in my life. A state of soulless I never thought existed in the world. Now I can see it in front of my eyes; hell, I’m seeing myself turning into the person that I never thought I’d become.

Now I understand the value of Love and compassion. The world tries its best to hammer all those feelings, as the brutal reality shreds our human emotions to pieces and laughs at it forever. Being nice to people is something that we never conceive in our heads as our life turns into a pragmatic route of living without showing any care for others. And we accept it, in the name of life, our life. We look at others, and they try to replicate others instead of making their own valued judgments.

It can be easy to put down our hands on the floor and admit defeat. Why not? Reality is never going to lose, ever, the cold is right when it freezes everything, but that doesn’t mean it is the end of the road. It doesn’t; it tries to convince you cold is the end of the line for everyone. While some of it is real, we all feel the eternal cold at the end of life, but we can make changes in the present that will make the ride of life great for us and others.

Admitting defeat is the worst a man can do in the rough times. We just need to take out a few seconds of our life to Look around us as we see people who are burning their flesh to bring warmth to their families. We may have a cynical view of Love, that it doesn’t exist, but when we see a mother and father grinding their bones to see a second-lasting smile on their child’s faces. We slowly realize Love always existed in our hearts; it never left; the harsh reality is, Love lasts for a second. But it is worth seeing.

If your existence can bring joy to the lives of one, then life is worth sacrificing and living. Once you close your eyes, you will see the tremendous amount of beauty winter carries within itself.

The appeal of winter is just like a sense of humor; it takes time before one understands the cruelty of reality.
